*I naively got into programming by making games in high school, ***here's some really old screenshots from the archives. Games were coded in objective-c cocos2d, graphics and characters were made in Adobe Illustrator. Apps were in the AppStore up until 2014 when I stopped maintaining them. I was ~14ish when I made my first app. I owned the entire process: game design, graphic design, level design and programming. After pouring many hours working after school and 2 summers I published 3 games for sale on the apple appstore to play on my ipod touch 4. The games were fun enough to play but most importantly they were a lot of fun to make. I programmed, made art, and designed the games myself. The experience gave me a lot of respect for game developers and taught me a lot about picking up new skills and the craftsmanship, joy, and challenge that goes into making something end to end and got me into the career path I am in today.

one of my games made it to #15 in the games category in the peruvian appstore. Why peruvian appstore? I was born and raised in Peru and was living in Peru back then and I marketed my game a bit through facebook and enough people from Peru downloaded it. The game didn’t really have that many downloads but it was pretty cool to see it ranked for a bit.
